Highly respected formula used as adjunct therapy for the treatment of swelling, pain, and ecchymosis from traumatic injury during initial phase when there is redness, heat, swelling and pain. Its name is Cantonese for die da jiu (fall and strike wine); Shaolin is the name of the famous Chinese monastery where martial arts were practiced and developed. This formula was orally transmitted by the 37th Patriarch of the Shaolin monastery as contained in Secret Shaolin Formulas for the Treatment of External Injury.
